Onivia strengthens its leadership with the appointment of Pedro Fernández Hernández as CCO to drive its expansion.

Onivia, the neutral and independent wholesale fibre operator, announces the appointment of Pedro Fernández Hernández as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), thus completing the composition of its executive team. With this incorporation, Onivia reinforces its commercial strategy to accelerate its expansion and consolidate its position as a benchmark in the market. Fernández Hernández brings valuable experience in business development, particularly in strategic alliances, commercial agreements, and new business lines—key aspects to drive Onivia’s growth and solidify its leadership as a neutral wholesale fibre operator in Spain.
Fernández Hernández holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering and an MBA in Business Administration and a Master’s in Sales and Marketing Management from IE Business School. He has more than 20 years of experience in business development and commercial strategy. His professional career has been closely tied to the technology and telecommunications sectors, having held senior positions at companies such as Telefónica and Orange, where he specialized in both B2C and B2B marketing and sales. His track record also includes leadership in digital solutions and strategic alliances, including serving as CEO at QDQ.
“With Pedro Fernández joining us, we add a key strategic profile to our executive team at a time when flexibility and efficiency are essential in the market. His deep industry knowledge and ability to identify opportunities will be fundamental to Onivia’s evolution—strengthening relationships with operators and building alliances with new industries that will help consolidate Onivia as the neutral and independent wholesale fibre operator of reference in Spain,” says José Antonio Vázquez, CEO of Onivia.
Pedro Fernández Hernández, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), adds: “It is an honour to join Onivia at such a pivotal moment for the telecommunications industry. The company is proving its ability to transform the fibre market in Spain, and I will devote all my efforts to driving Onivia’s value proposition—enhancing service levels to position Onivia as the preferred strategic partner for telecom operators and other clients.”
A cohesive and strengthened leadership team to drive Onivia’s next stage of growth
Onivia’s executive team is now consolidated with the recent appointments of Pedro Fernández as Chief Commercial Officer and Celma Pires as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), announced a few weeks ago. These professionals join a solid and experienced leadership group led by José Antonio Vázquez (CEO) and composed of Isabel Enríquez (Chief Information Officer), Jorge Méndez (Chief Technology Officer), and Icíar Martínez (Governance & Corporate Communications Director). This strategic leadership team works closely together to face industry challenges, optimize the business model, and continue driving the company’s sustainable growth.
